"No Boys Allowed" Mother's Day shoot!

What better way to celebrate a belated Mother's Day than with a girls only shoot with your mom! Plus this gave our photographer Chantel an opportunity to get out from behind the camera and be in the pictures for once! (Although we tend to be more comfortable behind the camera-who isn't?) Here are a few of our photos (plus you get to enjoy without having to swat at mosquitos!)

Thanks to the Veldmans for braving the swarms of mosquitos to take some pictures (and letting your kids stay out past bedtime! :) It was worth it!

A Teddy Bear Tea Party

To start off, we would like to just express how much fun we had with this shoot! We love taking pictures of kids just being kids, and what better way to do this than with an outdoor tea party!? The afternoon was perfect, and these two girls did an awesome job. The girls jumped right into the fun and took a seat on the logs surrounding the little white table adorned with fresh lilacs (thanks Joni!) It's amazing what great imaginations kids have! Without any prompting, the girls nibbled away at their cookies and poured each “tea” while we stood back and tried to capture them in their own little world. 

                                                                      

                

We added a couple of straw hats and our scene was set! Just what a spring tea party needs...

                   

           

 These girls were so sweet and polite!! They didn’t mind holding eachother’s hands for us or smiling over and over until we got the perfect pictures! Little cuties.

   

Thanks girls for being such good models for us girls! We had a lot of fun and hope you enjoyed looking through them!
